Jasmine & Matt Wedding

Jasmine and Matt married last Friday, October 23. It was a gorgeous, intimate wedding. It was a really fun experience to shoot a wedding for one of my closest friends. It never feels like a job to me to shoot weddings, but this one especially was fun. It's crazy to think that it wasn't too long ago Jasmine and I were bagging groceries at the local grocery store talking about whoever we were dating that week and here she was, absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and marrying a wonderful man who shares her sense of humor. Congratulations you two.

friends and grand rapids fashion show

I joined my friends Tieka and Brenna at the Grand Rapids Fashion Show last night. It was a blast. I think it's such a great idea to celebrate what we have going on locally and I never realized there were so many cute, local boutiques in West Michigan. I think this is a great idea for Accelerate Lansing's cultural enrichment committee..hmmm.

Before heading to downtown Grand Rapids, I photographed Tieka and Brenna. I've got some gorgeous friends with wild personalities. That's why the majority of my photos are of them.

In Muskegon

I'm in Muskegon this weekend, staying with my grandparents. They have the cutest pomeranian named Petey.

Jasmine & Matt

I photographed Jasmine and Matt yesterday, which I have been looking forward to for a while now (and just so excited to shoot their wedding!) Jasmine is one of my closest friends. We went to high school together, worked at the same grocery store, went to MSU and I know she has things of mine in her closet still that she hasn't returned! She's probably the funniest person in the entire world and has something witty to respond to anything you say to her and Matt is perfect for her. I'll post a photo of him too that describes his personality.

family portraits

A couple weeks ago, I photographed Tom, Matt and Tyler. These three roommates wanted some family portrait style photographs to hang up in their house and since I need all the practice I can with studio lighting, I reluctantly agreed.

I photographed Natalie and her family yesterday. Despite the cold, rainy weather, it was so much fun to watch Elliott splash through puddles, run up and down the street and investigate everything that led to dirty, muddy hands and clothes. He is so adorable.

jeff & anna

I photographed Jeff and Anna's wedding in Lansing with Jason Aten yesterday. I enjoy second shooting with Jason because I learn so much and I love his clients! I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff and Anna back in April when I attended one of Jason's workshops. He brought in Jeff and Anna so we could photograph them. That day, it snowed inches upon inches and it was freezing. And they were such good sports standing in snow with 12 cameras pointed at them. I adore this couple. They're laid back, smart and beautiful. Congratulations and enjoy that honeymoon in Hawaii!

I absolutely loved Anna's Maggie Sottero dress. It was perfection.

While Jeff waited to see Anna, he had this adorable, nervous smile as he heard the swish of her dress coming up behind him.
